Sherborne School, founded in 1550, has been at the heart of Sherborne town ever since. Senior students (aged 12 and older) attending the Sherborne Summer programmes can enjoy controlled freedoms provided by the location. This includes free time in Sherborne town during certain periods and the ability to walk between the school and their boarding houses.
The quiet, historical setting of Sherborne is ideal for students to enjoy these freedoms, as everything is within easy reach—cafés, supermarkets, boutiques, coffee shops, pizzerias, and ice cream parlours. This environment helps students build new friendships, demonstrate independence, and instil important values of responsibility and trust.
Junior students (aged 12 and younger) are situated on their own secure, self-contained campus, formerly the home of Sherborne International. This campus is close to the town, ensuring age-appropriate supervision at all times.
